The Revels Drama Group are performing Shut Your Eyes and Think of England by John Chapman and Anthony Marriott.
When Arthur Pullen comes into the office on Saturday morning to prepare for an audit, he is in for a surprise. His employer has a most unusual guest and mayhem ensues! This hilarious farce lifts the lid on the world of ‘high finance’ and new arrivals including Lady Holbrook, Mrs Pullen and a very influential Arab Sheik lead to an impenetrable maze of confused identities.
The cast includes Lindsay Warren as Arthur Pullen, David Sanders as Sir Justin Holbrook, Faye Gregan as Stella Richards, Miranda Ludlow as Lady Holbrook, Martin Reddy as Sir Frederick Gouldhurst and David McMillan as Sheik Marami.
Director Stephen Yeomans said “This is an unusual play for the Revels and the first farce for some years. It’s been a challenge, but one the cast have taken in their stride and I can’t wait to let this loose on our audiences!”
Shut Your Eyes and Think of England plays from Thursday 11th to Saturday 13th October at 7:30pm at Knowle Village Hall. Tickets can be booked from the Box Office on 01564 779801, can be purchased in person from Palmers on Knowle High Street and will be available on the door. Prices are £8 for adults, £7 for concessions and £6 for members.
